CPD Mountain Biking
Youth Mountain Bike Clinic: Grades 5th-8th

Join the Canton Police Department and the Canton Parks and Recreation for a youth mountain bike clinics!  This program promotes safe riding skills in a fun environment.  The program will take place at the trails of Windsor Woods and trails of Pequitside Farm. 

Learn basic skills in this great outdoor sport where everyone participates and no on sits on the bench. You'll practice various riding techniques, including body and pedal position, shifting, braking, climbing, descending, and navigating minor obstacles on the trail. We'll also go over important communication skills and mountain biking trail etiquette with the aim of keeping multi-use trails open and safe for everyone.  Riders must be able to comfortably ride a two wheeler on pavement and non-pavement.

Minimum equipment requirements: A bicycle (with gears & trail durable tires) , handbrakes, and a cycling helmet. 


Biking Clinic at the Station: Grades 1st-4th

Join the Canton Police Department and the Canton Parks and Recreation for a youth bike safety clinics! The Canton Police Department identify basic skills, knowledge and safety equipment needed for young children learning to ride! This program will take place at the Canton Police Station!

Stick around and all participants will have the opportunity to take a tour of the Canton Police Station! See where our officers work hard each day to provide a safe, healthy and interactive community environment! 

Minimum equipment requirements: A bicycle, functional breaks, and a cycling helmet. 

Children Grades 1st-4th much be accompanied by a parent or guardian to participate in this program*
